Zucchini Noodles & More

Zucchini Noodles & More

So I got this KitchenAid Spiralizer Attachment with Peel, Core and Slice from my in-laws for Christmas (Thanks, again!!) and was so excited to pop it open and give it a try. Upon opening, there were several pieces neatly packed together and an easy set-up guide. To be quite honest, I thought it was going to take a lot more time and hassle to assemble everything and I immediately wondered how often I’d go through the setup if I could use my tiny spiralizer with minimal work.

Well, I’m happy to report that setting up the KitchenAid Spiralizer was incredibly easy, straightforward, and painless. And in case you’re thinking, “Yeah, but I bet it’s a pain to clean…” you’re wrong. I only had to wash two tiny pieces and it was super simple and done in less than a minute. All I had to do was pop the spiralizer into the front of my KitchenAid mixer, choose my blade, and load up my veggies, then BAM. Noodles.

It’s safe to say this is one of my new favorite kitchen gadgets and I can’t wait to explore and create with other fruits and vegetables! I chose to make some zucchini noodles, or “zoodles,” and cook them up with some leftover tuscan chicken.img_5720

I also love throwing together zucchini noodles with meat sauce or Garlic Shrimp.  You can really substitute spiralized veggies anytime you’d normally make pasta. I know I’ll reach for veggies even more now that I have such a cool kitchen accessory!

Do you use a spiralizer? Post comments and recipes below!
