Everyone should have a good, classic brownie recipe on hand and I think you’re really going to like this one! I can’t keep this stuff in the house or it’d all be consumed in an impressive amount of time followed by a major stomach ache. So, I bake, enjoy a brownie or two, and then send the rest to work with Justin! It’s a win-win.
These brownies immediately came to mind when a few Basil Belle followers said they wanted to see more recipes with chocolate. Thankfully, I’ve been in such a baking mood lately, so I pulled out my KitchenAid Stand Mixer and got to work! You can whip up these bad boys in 10 minutes and have them ready to consume in no time. Watch the video below to see just how easy it is!
Side note, I don’t believe in cakey brownies, (cough, cough, Andrew!) so I opted to keep the bake time around 30-35 minutes, but you can do what you want… please just don’t bake them too long or I can’t be held accountable!! Otherwise, happy baking!
- 2 sticks butter
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and line a 9x9 baking pan with foil and cooking spray.
- Melt butter and chocolate together either on the stovetop or microwave, stirring often. Do not let this burn!
- Let cool slightly and then stir in sugar and eggs.
- Mix the flour, salt, and cocoa powder together and then add to the sugar mixture, stirring to combine.
- Pour brownie mixture into your pan and bake for 30-35 minutes. Let cool slightly before serving. I recommend serving with vanilla ice cream and coffee.
