  1. In a cast-iron skillet, heat olive oil on medium-high heat. Add the chopped vegetables, garlic, and spices to the pan. Sauté, stirring often, until somewhat softened. ~7-10 minutes.
  2. Turn heat up to high and add in the sausage and shrimp along with the chicken broth (optional). Stir frequently until cooked through ~ 5 minutes.
  3. Once the shrimp is cooked through, remove from heat and serve immediately.
Recipe Notes

If you’d like to get more of that charred, skillet flavor, I recommend cooking the sausage first on medium-high heat until slightly browned. Set aside and then add back in towards the end.

This skillet meal is great over rice if you’d like to add a grain!
